Brandi Vann, LPC-MHSP

Owner/Therapist

I have a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Tennessee State University. I'm licensed in the state of Tennessee as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Service Provider and approved LPC-MHSP supervisor. I’ve been a practicing clinician for over 16 years primarily working with adolescents and adults.

I prefer to use an eclectic approach to therapy, tailoring my approach to best fit the needs of my clients. Some of these approaches include person-centered, solution-focused therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. I enjoy working with adolescents and young adult people of color who are struggling with anxiety, depression, phase of life changes, mood disturbances, trauma and stress. As an LPC-MHSP supervisor, I have a passion for training up and coming clinicians, particularly those of color as I have found first hand that representation is essential in the field of counseling.

In my spare time I enjoy traveling, spending time with family/friends and cooking. I am affectionately known as the counselor that wears "J"s by my adolescent clients due to my love for tennis shoes. I am also a basketball/track mom and can often be found at one of my daughter’s numerous sporting events.

My name is Stephanie Russell. I am a Master’s Level Counselor. I obtained my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cappella University and have been working as a Master’s Level Counselor for two years. I help anxious and depressed teens and women find hope and joy through helping them learn ways of coping with difficult emotions and empowering them to find strength and value inthemselves so they can feel more fulfilled.

I do my best work helping teens and women find their self-worth and confidence. By helping my clients understand and become more aware of their emotions, they are able to better understand what they are feeling and what thoughts are contributing to those feelings. This awareness allows my client to be able to reframe their negative thought patterns that lead to feelings of anxiety and depression.

I am trained in EMDR therapy to help clients effectively work through past painful experiences and trauma that continue to impact their daily life. My hope is to provide a safe space where my clients can be themselves without judgment. I am passionate about helping my clients find joy in the midst of life’s ups and downs. I believe that in a world full of social media and uncertainty where we are told what to be and how to act, it is essential to have that space. I look forward to providing this space to my clients and helping them find their own voice.
